Affirmation: Site Purpose The Night Island is a haven for writers. For artists. For poets. My idea was to make a site for those that could not make sites for themselves, yet wanted to have their work seen, admired and/or critisized among fellow writers and appreciators of Savage Garden fanfiction.   Anyone and everyone is welcome, in spite of level of talent or amount of writing experience.   As long as you put your heart into what you do, that is enough for me.   The more creative people we have involved, the richer the site becomes.       You may have noticed this site is rather spartan on decorations.   What we have now is considered extravagant by my standards.   This was done on purpose. That is not to say I do not enjoy sites where there are many pretty trinkets all around you, to beguile and increase your pleasure while you stay.   But I also know what it is like to have a computer so very poor that I could not see any of these lovely things without waiting from ten minutes to half an hour for them to load, depending on how much decorating had been done.       TNI is meant to be open to every reader, no matter what computer they are using, just as we bar no one from submitting their work to us.   Here, everyone is equal and I sincerely hope that everyone enjoys this site to it's full extent and does not feel handicapped in any way. Never forget you always have a home here, for my Island always has room for one more. ~return~
